Not everyone has the opportunity to visit a museum. Long distances, limited transportation, economic constraints, and health factors are among the obstacles many people face to be able to come. Since the founding of Kolong Tangga, this issue has been one of our main concerns, which led us to initiate the movement “Museum Comes To Visit You”—a program that provides easier access for children to engage with Kolong Tangga Museum’s collections. Kolong Tangga Museum visits them by bringing along several museum objects. Using these objects, we tell stories and then create crafts together. Over the years, we have carried out dozens of visits—ranging from children in hospitals, coastal communities, orphanages, to schools that have invited us to be present.
