Kelereng newsletter is a bimonthly publication issued by the Kolong Tangga Museum. The newsletter is aimed to schoolchildren and families. It started as an outlet for children to put out their writings and other. The newsletter was first published in 2008. Each edition had a different theme but all focused on the topic of education delivered through a variety of perspectives that children can understand. Initially, the newsletter was published and distributed to schools and children’s communities free of charge. However, ever since the museum was under financial strain in 2015, this was no longer practical. Kelereng newsletter was then sold for the general public at Rp 6.000 apiece. Kelereng newsletter contains 20 pages comprising around 16 sections. Salam Redaksi (editor’s letter) welcomes readers and offers insights into the edition’s theme. Kabar Kolong Tangga (Kolong Tangga News), Objek Museum (Museum Object), and Perpustakaan Burung Biru (Burung Biru Library) cover the museum’s most recent activities. Fokus (Focus), Pengetahuan (Knowledge), dan Warna Warni (Rainbow*) are thematic sections. Children can also be a contributor for reader-submitted contents such as Karyaku (My Artwork), Surat Sahabat (Pen Pals), dan Figura Cerita (Story Corner). In addition to these, the newsletter also features Cerita Bersambung (Serialised Story), English Corner, Kreasi dan Seni (Creation and Art), serta Sastra (Literature).
