The Kolong Tangga Museum owns two supplementary libraries, namely Burung Biru and Corens Libraries. While the former is dedicated for young readers, the target audience for latter is university students in particular and adults in general. Corens Library houses private literature collection belonging to Rudi Corens, the founder of Kolong Tangga Museum. As a reference library, its collection primarily serves for research and literature review. As a supplement for a museum focusing on education and toys, visitors can find numerous titles covering the history and development of toys, dolls and puppetry, storytelling, and children’s literature. In addition to such titles, there is also a wide-ranging collection on books on social sciences such as history, anthropology, archaeology, ethnography, as well as folklore and mythology from cultures around the world. Corens Library also includes collections of papercuttings, stamps, photographs, as well as a miscellany of files, newspaper cuttings, maps, and documentation. Visitors can access the library during opening hours. However, to ensure the safety and preservation of the collection, there are rules that guests must abide by. These include not taking any part of the collection out of the library (take-out loan is not permitted), not bringing and consuming food and beverages in the library, and most importantly visitors are strictly forbidden to vandalise the collection in any way, including marking, ripping, folding, and tearing.
